We are extremely proud to announce that IndustryBuilt Software has been named as a Great Place to Work in Canada for the fifth consecutive year.
Since we first appeared on the list back in 2013, our company has grown monumentally and is poised for even greater growth as a result of our recent acquisition by Aptean Inc. In the past year, we’ve been certified as one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies, as one of Canada’s Best Workplaces for Women and in Technology, and as a Great Place to Work in the US. We’ve also been able to develop a culture that prides itself on inclusivity, collaboration and professional growth. In short, it’s been a busy few years.
There are a number of reasons why IndustryBuilt is on the Best Workplaces in Canada list again, but here are a few that we’re most proud of:
When we were first recognized as a Great Place to Work, we had under 80 employees. Now, 140 of North America’s brightest work for IndustryBuilt. Over the last year alone, we’ve grown by more than 30% and plan to reach 150 employees by the end of our fiscal year. Our team is committed to hiring individuals who embody our values of passion, integrity and respect and who share our dedication to our customers and partners.

In March of this year, IndustryBuilt was acquired by Aptean Inc. The move was strategic for both parties who share the same goal of becoming the number one food and beverage enterprise application provider. For IndustryBuilt, the acquisition allows us to tap into Aptean’s global knowledge base and resources. For Aptean, it further expands their vertical, industry-specific ERP capabilities, which is an important part of their growth strategy. Introductory webinars, a joint kickoff event and full transparency between both companies’ executive teams and employees have helped make the acquisition process an easy one.

We’re proud of the work we’ve done this year and of the recognition we’ve received. Early this year, we were recognized by Deloitte for excellence in business performance as one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies. It was IndustryBuilt’s first year applying for the award and we couldn’t be more humbled by the outcome. IndustryBuilt was also recognized as one of Canada’s Best Workplaces for Women and as one of Canada’s 25 Best Workplaces in Technology. For the first time, we were also certified as a Great Place to Work in the US. These awards were only made possible by our team of exceptional people and valued customers.

The IndustryBuilt culture is something we’re extremely proud of. Not only do our employees live our values every day, but we also know how important a work-life balance is. Our remote employees are constantly made to feel included in our day-to-day office activities (to celebrate Pi Day on March 14, every remote employee was sent a pie of their choice) and here at the office, employees enjoy a flexible work from home policy. Weekly all-employee scrums, Friday breakfasts and group chat software ensures that all employees always feel connected. We are also dedicated to personal and professional growth and have endless resources, like Brown Bag Webinar Series on different features of our products, and our very own BuildersBlock, which centralizes our training materials and communication into one easy-to-access hub, at our disposal.
